恨无常

                 曹雪芹

喜荣华正好，

恨无常又到。

眼睁睁把万物全抛，

荡悠悠把芳魂消耗。

望家乡路远山高，

故向爹娘梦里相寻告：

儿命已入黄泉，

需要退步抽身早。

Sorrow for the Uncertainly of Life

While happily enjoying her honour and prosperity,

She has suddenly confronted with the arrival of  Death.

With wide-open eyes everything had to be abandoned,

And into the unknown infinitude her youthful soul must vanish.

Looking towards her native place: the road were long, the mountains high.

Hence she had to find and to tell her parents in a dream

Your child’s life has now gone to the Yellow Spring.

You must find a retreat and retire there in good time.
