排在百佳诗歌榜第三位的诗是Death Is Nothing At All。这首诗也是一首经常在葬礼上诵读的关于死亡的诗，历史更久远，对后世的影响也更大。诗的作者亨利·司各特-荷兰，是伦敦圣保罗大教堂的牧师同时也是牛津大学的神学教授。起初这首所谓的诗并不是诗，而是作者作为牧师在国王爱德华七世逝世后为其布道的时候宣讲过的内容，布道的题目是Death the King of Terrors。 “Death Is Nothing At All”是其中的一部分，主要内容是关于死亡的自然而又似乎矛盾的反应的探讨， 即人们对于不明所以感到恐惧却又相信生命恒常轮回不绝。

从翻译的视角看，除了注意保持原诗的意义和意象之外，主要应该尽力与原诗在诗句的形式上保持一致，如语言的平白，句子的长短变化等。但从汉语的韵脚来看，似乎保持一节或几节的一致押韵更好些。

Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened.
Everything remains exactly as it was.
